Counterstrike!

Counterstrike is arguably one of the most popular online fps's around! Personaly i play css more than 1.6 but for its time 1.6 is definatly the better of the two. What do u guys think?

i used to play a little cs 1.6...didnt have a good computer...finally got HL2 and played some css...i suck at both :P

I prefer 1.3 to all CS version, dunno why but I like the bugs in it :D

Counterstrike is a game that takes awhile to get used to... I really hated it the first time that I played it but then it finally grew on me. ;)

the funny thing is that i am pretty good at UT2k4, but not at counter strike which is just a tad slower than ut2k4...i guess you just need a lot more precision than in ut2k4

Bleh... there is just something about Counterstrike that I can't really put my finger on from other FPS games...

i have cs:condition zero, but i dont know which version it is :confused:

but anyway, its a pretty cool game, and i enjoyed it, except for the fact that my graphics card is PRIMITIVE!:mad: i dont even have an AGP accelerator card, or whatever.
the thing i have is inbuilt, no xtras, and i have an intel 82845G motherboard, which means i dont have slots for extras. but im considering upgrading (in this case changing) my motherboard.

i struggled a lot to get the game running, even on the lowest settings.

well im new to pc games i just got a computer not to long ago and counter strike was the first game i got with the half life 2 pack and i tell ya i love it ......but hard to get head shots from far away. :(

I think it's a very good game indeed . Its graphics are lacking and I hate campers but I am PWNED! I took part with my clan in a national tournament and our clan placed 6th . It is a very good place if you imagine that the full ladder consisted of nearly 100+ clans! We were disqualified by Cyberium the 3rd best clan in Greece. You may think Greeks suck but we are very good players all around me for example ... I am UNBEATABLE in UNREAL but I haven't taken part in any championship...pitty . The sole problem here in Greece is the connection speed problem. For example I have an active aDSL connection running at 1mb but my true speed is a little above &00-800kbs. This happens because the optical cables here in Greece are not available everywhere. Don't think bad of Greeks or Hades will take you!:D

I'll start playing it, cuz it's really famous and there are tons of tournaments, ive seen WCG prices for some games.

The highest price is 20.000 dollars for the champion of CS, and in the next game is only 10.000.

i been playing it that like you shoot them in the head but they move and they they shoot in yo uin the head and like it does 99 damage and then you like camp and run around to not get killed but suddenlt normaly a grenade comes out of no where bam you dead !

Under controls go to advanced and enable the developers console. Then hit the ` key (next to 1)

I have actually played CS again after a year and a half of not playing it. Joined some random public server and after a few rounds, was called a hacker and a round later I was asked to join some random clan. Now I wonder why I quit the game in the first place.

Now don't get me wrong, I love the game and have played it for years. But I just cannot stand the immature people who immediately point fingers and accuse someone of hacking. :mad:

css is definatly one of the best online shooters,but i prefer day of defeat. css tends to be full of obssesive players. In order to be able to compete you have to play everyday all day. No good for someone who wants a casual shootout.
