Did anyone ever play civilizations? I remember really liking this game and staying up until 6 or 7 in the morning playing it. I thought it was a really neat idea. Later, I played Civilizations 2000 (I think it was called that). I found it really complicated and confusing and couldn't figure out how to play it.
I remember Civilizations coming out for the Playstation, it was extremely slow and wasn't even worth playing.

I've never played it before, but due to excellent reviews from sites, it must be good.

I've never played either of those games -- I'm guessing they are really good? Are they anything like civilizations? I'd really like to play a game like that again.

Well get Rome total war then.
Rome is better than Civilisation because Rome has armys of soilders and Civilisation doesn't have any fighting and Romes graphics are MUCH nicer.

Rome and Civ are totally different games. Rome is more about the fighting, Civ is about turning your nation into the best in the world. If you wanted, you could play the game without once sending troops into battle - you can win by spreading your cultural, diplomatic, religious, or whatever influence over folk.
Rome is a lot better than Age of Empires - I never really liked that game...

Civilisations is very good for a turn bsed game. some turn based games stink out loud but civilisations is very good. I've never played Rome but maybe I should
