anyone playing F.E.A.R

just wondering how this game is. I tried dl the single player demo from gamespot, it was dl slow and then it said connection reset. Any other places to get the demo?

I heard that the beta was amazing so the finished game must be superb. You could allways buy it, play it and if its **** take it back and get a refund saying it didnt work on your computer ;)

I dl'ed and tried the demo [which was huge and took 2 or 3 tries]. It was definitely very atmospheric, had me going 'okay, what the heck was that' and was a suitably creepy late-night type game. The FPS aspect of it seemed to be very similar to most others, although control seemed to be pretty intuitive, and at least the demo level was fairly linear. It seemed to be somewhat challenging, or perhaps I just suck at FPS [the more likely possibility].
It's definitely worth checking out, based on the demo, if you like your FPS with a side of 'creepy'.

this game is not for people with heart problems and i suggest anyone who plays it to avoid darkness the game has its own way of creating stress situations so darkness will not help.But the game is very good in graphics and story line so if horror doesn't disturb you play on.:)
