hey.. im not sure this is in the correct place but here go's. i just bought a amd 6400+ black edtion and a asus m2n-x plus and have installd vista ultimite on it, and im having trouple playing games on it. such as warrock witch is a pretty low spec game, i have updated all drivers made sure everything was good in the bios but still im geting between 6-20 fps when i used 2 get 90-120 with a old celeron cpu, here's sum of my sepcs

ati x1650 pro

ok here the thing the reason it doent work it because vista SUCK LIKE HELLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR GAMING sorry for screaming but you need twice the specs for games that dont support vist sutch as hell gate london and crap so your comp is fine dont worry just DOWN GRADE IT TO xp or find a stable xp emulator so its all good ok and your probbily got a 64 bit graphics display and not many games support that :):):):):sdatgrs7yfguirlfc

yea i toatly no what u mean how it sucks :/ but my friend has the exact same set up but is cpu is lower than mine, and he never gets screen lagg, but im stuck at max of 20 fps, i just hope its nothing to do with my cpu or mobo.

omg stop bad mouthing vista, people only say its crap coz their used to xp, download vista sp1 and u will see that the game works perfectly

alot of people say that vista sucks but if you take halos advice it kind of gets rid of the lagg issue...and please if you want to say KNOW then speel it as KNOW..part of the rules..

No ****. It was the same crap when XP first rolled out. Every judgemental asshat was like "ROMG MICRO$UCK WINBLOWZ XP SUXORZ SO HARD DUDE U SHUD GO BACK TO WINDOZE 98 MAN CUZ IT IS DA BOMB FOR GAMES TOTALLY.......LOLMAXX!!"
As a matter of fact, and take this from a guy who has been working with as well as playing with computers for a long time, ever since windows 95 every concurrent version of windows has undergone the same thing. New versions are always seen as bloated and ****ty....and then a year into it everyone finds out that YES there is improvements. What it really boils down to is that you will mostly find that the people who say such things are 1. Mac users, 2. Linux geeks, 3. pimple faced dorks who are repeating opinions they read on some website run by a group of mac users and linux geeks.
In the end....9 to 10 chance it is an old, incompatible, or ****ty coded driver. Who's fault is that?

a lot of people who bad mouth an OS are people who just don't know hot to use or optimize the performance of the OS.

e.g. i dislike how some Mac users, in their defense, say that XP is full of viruses. It is actually incredibly to get viruses unless you go on dodgy websites and download porn or random stuff from untrustworthy websites. Or open emails you have no idea who they're from.

hey, i installd xp its even worse than it is on vista. and i wasnt slagging of vista i just think it needs time for microsoft to fix all the little bugs that the just rushed past, but has any 1 got any ideas why im geting so much lagg. iv installed vista ultimite 64bit, its a little better im geting 30fps just running about but when i shoot it gos down o about 10. and all my hard where is about 4 times the amout recomended to run it. so has sum 1 got any sugesgons?:confused:
