WHen I think about it, the thing I enjoyed most about the GBA was all those SNES ressurections that's I'd never played before. (SNES was a bit before my time, I'm young, I know XD.)
In particular:
-Yoshi's Island
-Final Fantasy IV, V and VI
-Zelda: Link to the past
I'm sure there must be others that I can't be arsed to remember right now.
And there was also
-Mario & Luigi - Better than DS one
-Mariokart super circuit
-Mario VS Donkey Kong
-Golden Sun
-Pokemon -Because every nintendo handheld needs it
-Wario Land 4
-Zelda: Minish cap
Basically it had a huge number of quality titles. I know the DS does too, but it also has a ridiculous amount of [EDIT] rubbish with touch controll shoehorned on.
Also, I want GBA ports of Chrono trigger, and Mario RPG to come out in Europe XP

Just to help the GBA section, I'm gonna' post another reply :p
I would love them. Most likely seeing them on a different platform now anyway - since the GBA is almost dead. With only a few random movie-based games being released on it now and then.

I liked Summon Night Swordcraft Story I & II, Fire Emblem, DBZ Supersonic Warriors, DBZ Advance Adventure, DBZ Legacy of Goku and Buus Fury.
Zoids Legacy, Golden Sun games are also pretty interestong.

Though there aren't any new games coming out for GBA, there's still plenty of older games I'm after. I missed out on some great games when they were new, so it's time to start tracking them down used. I'm dying to play games like Fire Emblem, Shining Soul, Summon Night: Swordcraft Story, Castlevania Double Pack (already played Aria of Sorrow a bit though), and various others. I think the NES/SNES ports are pretty good, although since I already own most of the original games I don't bother with too many ports unless they have extra stuff. The GBA went out way before it's time because the DS stole the spotlight, but I won't stop playing my GBA anytime soon.
To add on even more, here's some of my favorite games:
Super Mario Advance
Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland
Metroid Fusion
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
River City Ransom EX
Spinja

I think Crystal was best out of the bunch. Gold and Silver.
It had some brilliant additions. It was the first to have the animated sprites for the Pokemon, it had lots more to do (Hunting down Suicune, Entei and Raikou) and the Japanese version apparantly had the ability to connect to a mobile phone and play wirelessly with other people. (Early days Nintendo WFC Perhaps?)
