I bought my DS used from gamestop Feb 2006. So it IS under warranty. But about a week after I bought it the R shoulder button started lightly sticking. Sometimes other buttons stick. Then it started freezing if it was moved (like walking when you were playing or handing it to someone else). I bought an Action Replay for it (I wanted lotsa bells- I learned my lesson though, ok?) And the action replay didn't work. Like it wasn't even recognized. Then my DS just stopped powering on. I'm not sure if the AR shorted it or what, there wasn't a noise or spark or anything... but it won't power on, and when I plug it to the charger, the orange light goes on for a second and shuts off. I already ebayed a new one but I am debating what to do with the old one. I don't think the warranty will cover it if it was shorted by an AR, especially with sticky buttons, since that means the prev owner probably spilled something on it. I'm debating buying the 3 wing tool and taking it apart, cleaning it and replacing the battery but the minute I do that I DEFINITELY void the warranty. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions with this?
Thanks

Before you take it apart, take it back and see if you can get a refund, replacement, or store credit. Or for them to fix it. If not, then try to fix it yourself.

You should sell your old ds and buy a lite.

The orange light sometimes does that to me ,but I thought that it probably is charged too much or something like that.
