View Full Version : 7950GT vs 8600GT for crysis in DX9 (XP)

i think the 7950GT is better, but i haven't seen any frame rate comparisons between these two cards for crysis. if you could be so kind to give me a link to a webpage that does show performance comparisons in crysis for these cards, then i'd be very thankful.

i voted the 7950, but if your thinking of getting vista in the future i would surgest the 8600

nah 7950, 8600gt simply isnt an especially good card. 8600gts would warrant the upgrade as would an 8800, but espeically with not enough power to really get much out of dx10, i say 7950

I voted for 7950GT its such a good card. I think I pretty much explained everything in the shoutbox at least. And if anyone missed what I said then thats just to bad Cause I don't feel like typeing huge posts.

Espeically, A thread about 7950GT and 8600GT I can go on for days posting why 7950GT is so much better.

and wouldn't 7950GT still run better than 8600GT on vista?

Yes I learned alot about PC parts and all that other crazy stuff from him. But being a PC gamer for along time now I have followed the PC Generation since I was 14 I know alot about how to get the best gaming experience I could have over the PC also I have argued with so many people over other forums about PC hardware. xD

Anyways yes you can be his girlfriend for a bit hehe. Man love! :p

yeah course. for crysis at least you really only need dx10 if you can run v high...

I had a 7950GT and it is a very capable card. Even with Vista...I would still recommend it over an 8600Gt. DX10 isnt all that yet and the 7950 will kill. Then again, Why not go with an 8800GT. I dont wanna sound like a broken record reccomending it...but it truely is the bang-for-the-buck card right now.

yeah, but the cheapest 8800GT cards i've seen are about £100 whereas the 7950GT i'm getting now is £53 inclu delivery, which i think is a good price.
