Please help me remember this game..

Hello.
I have been trying to find this one game I remember playing (off of a demo disk, I believe from PC Gamer magazine) probably around 1997 (or some time in the late '90s). It was a real-time strategy game i believe, but I cannot for the life of me remember the name.

What I do remember was when you start off you're an alien race of some sort with a gray spaceship (it was sort-of a round edge square shape, that came to a rounded point at the top from the picture I have in my head) that lands, and a few units get out, and you then proceed to build a colony on the planet you're on. it was probably a colonization strategy game I'm thinking.

I was like 10 at the time, and I can barely remember any of the specifics other than that. Does anyone else remember anything like this? All I can remember that it was a demo off of a demo disk from PC Gamer, or PC World, or one of those pc magazines that were popular around 10 years ago..

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Not really... There could only be maybe less than (literally) 5 games that the game starts out just like that.. and I;m talking of all time. Think about it.. How many games start with your gray ship (in the exact design i described) landing on a planet and like 3 units get out... People would eventually be like "what the hell.. lets sdee some new games". You're trying to tell me there are 'tons' of games that have the exact same introduction? Like try to think before you speak -- that's really not helping.

Well I meant the game your trying to describe has alot of the same game elements a sci-fi or space RTS game would have.

nah, its sid meiers alpha centauri if im not mistaken. cba to link, just wikipedia/youtube or w/e it. game came out it 99. more tbs than rts

Well they have actually been somewhat helpful whereas your members are just spamming my thread, flaming me, and generally being as un-helpful as possible.. Maybe the mods need to start being a little more strict with these children..

Alien Trilogy is a FPS, Alien Carnage is a side-scrolling platformer, Heart of the Alien isn't even for PC, and Alien Incident is an adventure game... I appreciate that you're the first person to actually attempt to be helpful... but the game I'm looking for is a strategy/colonization game, and the game's you've listed are not even remotely related to the description I gave... Nope, that doesn't look like it at all. It wasnt turn-based, and the initial ship doesnt look like that. The game I'm thinking of had graphics very similar to AoE II crossed with Starcraft. The "mother ship" that lands on the planet at the start is kinda like a pyramid shape, and is gray -- several units get out, and the colony begins..
