Hello, just to say right now, im going to tell you every little inch that
is going on. So that your could help more. :]

Alright, heres the deal. I just installed F.E.A.R. (a FPS)for PC and went to go play it online.
And I joined a game. I started out good, walking around and such. But then when i started
to shoot (even when no one is around me) I would lag INCREDIBLY. And you should
know. If you lag in a online FPS you screwed.. I've been trying to figure out why i've been
lagging so much. I just dont know

Info:
I have a Dell Inspiron | B130 ( Windows XP, intel Pentium M)
My router is about a good 6 to 8 feet away from me (In same room)
F.E.A.R. takes up about 4,000 mb of memory
I do not have any other program with more then 500mb of memory
(So i dont think it should be the space it is taking up... or maybe idk)

Things I've tried:
Re-installation
Restart Computer
Disk Clean-up

If you can help, that would be awesome! :D:D:D

Thank you, Kevin

If your lagging when only people come, it may be your graphic's card. I know people who play cod4 without lag on a laptop.

I agree with Trunks it could be your graphics card.

the prob is most likely your vid card but u could also have a spider or brain virus ( eats up mem or procsesor usage during online activity.)

as i said before laptops simply are not built or designed with online gaming in mind, it is most probably the intregrated graphics that cant handle it and of course with graphic cards that do not have the clout needed they are fine until the action starts, as soon as more movement appears in your game it will just start lagging out, its not like a desktop that you can just pull out a graphic card and slot another one in.
Desktop pc's for gaming, laptops are for playing dvd movies, general surfing, office work. NOT FOT GAMING.
some laptops can run games better than others but that normally boils down to getting higher spec makes and lots more money, even a really cheap/crappy desktop pc can out do a laptop, and im talking about something that can be built for less than £150.

recomended settings for fear to run ok'ish are: p4 3.0GHz cpu, 1 gig of ram (not shared, but being a laptop probably shares the ram with your graphics), g-force6600 or a 256MB ati graphics card with shader 2.0 support.

your laptop has Pentium M Processor 740 (1.73GHz/2MB Cache/400MHz FSB*)
512MB of RAM (2 stick configuration)
Intel integrated Media Accelerator 900 graphics card

First thing to notice is your intergrated graphics will draw its memory from your ram and your cpu just doesnt cut it, sorry but its just not upto the job.

ive got fear also and i would say to run that game even remotely well you need much more than the recommended spec as it gets quite intensive graphic wise.
