i heard it was one of the best shooters of 2005 from reviews and such...i've been kinda monitoring it (usually just screenshots and previews), but not really (didnt download the demo or anything)...i heard it was actually pretty fun (kinda like half life 2 maybe)
anyone have a good enough pc to buy it and has actually bought it and played it?

I also heard this was pretty good. I tried several times to download the demo and kept losing my connection and finding slow downloads and just gave up

I played the demo but wasen't impressed. I have come to expect more from FPS on the PC (and no I'm not comparing it to HL2) Though it did make me jump once or twice and as i said it was only a demo...

The game was good, but it really needs a good system. I ran it on my A64 3200+ with 1gb ram and a 7800GT. Was running smooth at 1024x768 with everything on :D
But the truth is I got really bored during the end of the game so I started cheat just to finish it off as soon as possible :o

F.E.A.R. needs pretty hi-end specs, what with the Recommended specs being a GB of RAM, 512mb of graphics, and no less than the nVidia GeForce 7 series or an ATI Radeon equivalent. it made me wonder if it was really worth it.
a PC reviews website even had a comment like this - "Follow our steps in buying a PC dirt-cheap, yet having the juice to run F.E.A.R."
:D
- the Imperialist God.
PS - ive never played the game, but i didnt say i dont like it! ;)
Yeah i play it and i like it!

This game has a combination of x-files series and swat and the atmospere of the mvie the ring YOU SHOULD PLAY IT YUO WONT REGRET (as long as you have a medium power pc to paly it casue the requir. are a little bit heavy)

I bought it about three days ago and i am quite impressed with the game it runs smooth and is visually quite stunning, i find it weird because it runs perfect but Quake 4 doesn,t run very well on me pc  but it is definately worth buying or if you dont want to buy it you culd just download the multiplayer part.
