Is this a standard GBA or a GBA sp? There was no backlight included in the original GBA. I am not sure if that guy who made afterburners still sells them. I installed an afterburner on my original GBA and remember that the instructions were easy to follow, but actually carrying out the installation was a bit fiddly.

You would need to get an afterburner then... if they still make them. Does anyone else know?
To be honest your best bet would be to sell the GBA and buy a GBA SP instead, which comes with a backlight (some decent deals on Ebay for these).

YEAH YOUR RIGHT ADMIN.
GBA sp is really different to standard GBA. It is much better than the standard one.
You can also play all games so it's good.
lol
what's the next rank admin?

i agree, the GBA sp is miles better than the 1st GBA, mainly due to the backlight on the sp which was sadly lacking on the 1st GBA, plus the flip up design protects the screen from doing that whole "black blob" effect when the screen gets cracked one too many times, since that happened to me gameboy colour.
