my mate just bought a psp for 160. thankfully it was a 2.0 so we can downgrade it to 1.5 for some 'backups'..

Interesting to see that the way to downgrade it is a buffer overflow [allows arbitrary code execution] which is a classic mistake [many computer hacks are because of these 'unchecked buffers']- I just think its sweet that embedded hardware can be easily reprogrammed [by loading in a specially coded image in the psp's case].

can anyone point me in the direction of REALLY cheap 1gig cards for the psp? i hear the average price is about £60.. am sure they must be cheaper somewhere? any 1gig'ers out there or is that too extravegant for the psp'ers at the moment ?

Can that 1 gig card be used to store computer files? If so that is a really good deal on a mobile storage device.

yea, that is one of the best features of the psp (at least those with firmware 1.5 and 2.0)...emulation, baby! :D

too bad Sony wants to crack down on emulation and are making higher versions of firmware that will prevent this and make new games being only compatible with those firmwares :/..

i can't believe how fast sony is able to bring out the firmware updates, it seems as soon as one is cracked they have another update :(

Hey I don't care about them stopping emulation! I just want to get a cheap 1 gig HD

:)

Those things are damn expensive on their own... like 199 bucks.
