Whats the latest news on the PS3? I was reading this website saying that you should wait for the PS3 then getting the XBOX 360. It listed 10 reasons. Some of the reasons were: 7 wireless controllers, can play ps1 and ps2 games, games that are coming out like MGS4. Here is the website that shows it. www.ign.com. Go look for PS3 vs. Xbox 360.

well its no doubt the ps3 will be great but the reasons that you posted dont seem very conveincing but anyways the main question is how long is the wait. when will ps3 be released. im buying both so it doesnt matter for me

i really just want to see how ps3 will handle online gaming....i really like online games and ps2 online just sucked...so i wanna see how they improve that if they do at all

urs had defects? sorry if it did. i was gonna get ps3 but back then everyone kept saying the 360 was gon be better. Now ppl saying ps3 going to b better, i preordered my 360 so might as well buy it instead of not taking it, tho, it might have a defect. Now i kinda want a ps3 for its value, graphics, technology, and some of the titles like MGS4 and FinalFantasy :p, but thats pretty much it for now, unless i hear something else good about it, but wouldnt get it cuz i would have to wait longer, price for the console, games said to be about $70 range. im not made of money either...

The xbox definately has a better online than ps2, and the 360 online will b great too, so i wanna see how it competes with the ps3 online. If the ps3 online sucks like the ps2, which i doubt it will, but if it does suck, then screw the ps3. i wouldnt b suprised if another guy made a video of smashing the ps3 into pieces.

and yea, i wanna see what the ps3 does with online...but still, i WILL get a 360...if only for halo 3 at first...but once i get it for halo 3, i am sure there will be plenty of other games i will want for it...

i probably won't get a ps3 b/c i will be in college and have no time to use it, haha

i jus decided to get a x360 and it is great :) even tho it is a little messed up, i need to get that fixed. Ill get a ps3 when i have money to spend like that :P

the thing is...we don't know if the ps3 will have problems too...it's not guaranteed that the ps3 will be bug-free or anything...i've heard that the dev kits that developers got from sony for the ps3 have melted when trying to use them...that's how overheated they got...forgot the source though, but that's what i read...

it probably did overheat pretty quickly cuz of wat i can remember the ps3 looks like, i dont rememeber seeing many airholes. and the fact that the ps3 is that powerful, sony better think of something before they get into big trouble.

im more into PC, nothing can beat it... MICROSOFT ALL THE WAY lol:D anyways i only ever had a PS, xbox and a pc, and all those other old old stuff that is not worth mentioning. i only ever once played on the PS2 (singstar lol), im gonna get a xbox360 (only cuz it has free xbox live!!!!!) and im pretty much always gonna stick with the PC cuz every console ever made is gonna be upgraded and they gonna charge u more n more for each one... :mad: still the time i did play the PS2 i enjoyed it very much so since then im open to any console i can get my hands on...:rolleyes: wish i did have PSP that would own!! no more boredom when im in long trips and stuff. time to get back to reality:rolleyes:

yea, playstation is a pretty good company, i wish i had money so i could jus buy the ps3 as well... maybe i could one day :)

xboxlive isnt free, thats jus silver. you need the goldmembership to actually play online, and those cost like $50 or $60. But its still worth it :)

what does the silver do then? lol cuz it said on their website with huge font that xbox live is free with the xbox 360. is it just to get highscores and to download new content for games?

silver lets u talk to friends online, but u cant play games... jus look at wat i said in the xboxlive thread in xbox.

In response to Misty's concerns that the PS3 is going to overheat.... I would say that this is something that SOny has definitely already considered and resolved... I seriously doubt the console will have any overheating issues.

Dont play for 14 hours straight lol. I would overheat too.

I'm going to (try to) make myself stand back and wait a bit for more games and hopefully the first pricedrop. I'm sure I'll eventually get at least two of the next generation consoles. This generation I have a Dreamcast, an Xbox and a Gamecube. There's only been a couple of games I want that are PS2 exclusive so I've put it off for a long time. At this point I guess I'll just wait for PS3 to play PS2 games.

Sony is really going to have an advantage coming out second. Especially with MS dropping the ball with the 360 shortages. Creating a buzz and a demand is good. Letting that buzz fizzle out and losing the public's interest before you can sell enough product is bad. The whole point of coming out first during the holidays is to grab as much marketshare from Sony as you can before they come out. Well the holidays are over and I don't know anybody with a 360. If anything they're just desensitizing us to the fact that a console can cost $400, so it won't seem that bad when Sony hits the scene at a similar price point later this year. In a lot of ways Sony can sit back and learn from MS's mistakes. No matter what happens, it's going to be an interesting year or two for gaming.
