b/c microsoft knows that someone in politics will say something about it if they did air it...

PS. There are "alot" of actors in that thing... expensive commercial to just "throw away"

i still think they should air atleast one of the ads, jus forgetting about the politics and media jus to see wat would happen. Even if the ad was a bad idea of airing it, i dont really think that things could go any worse for the 360 right now, even tho things arent TO bad for the 360.

they did show it to some people at zero hour, but they havent released it to the overall public yet...i guess they think that others might think that "acting out violence" is just as bad as real violence...:p

It was pretty funny and cool to me the first time i saw the ad, so i think they should air it atleast once during the day.

i think that's just it...they would be using real people :/ i dont know..i dont have a problem with it at all...it's all politics and corporate issues...

Thats probably the reason y. The company assumes that the parents won't buy the 360 for the kids cuz of the shooting in the commercial, even tho its fake. But not in the commercial in the gym and the girl's brains got blown out and blood everywhere :P that was golden:). But anyways, most likely cuz of wat they think will happen to the sales.

yea, some people take things way too seriously...i guess MS didn't want to offend them and scare them away from buying a 360...

Great advert, and a good example of an internet viral-marketing campaign.

Microsoft tell people it was originally intended for TV and has been "banned". Get everyone discussing it, emailing each other, posting links on forums, newsgroups, articles on games sites etc. Results in massive amounts of free publicity. Great idea :D

Word of mouth - very powerful advertising tool.
