You need the Goldmembership to actually play online, i kno that already....

but cant u talk to friends online with the Silver? and isnt Silver built into the console already? i jus remembered that J. Allard (if thats his name), said that with silver, u could do those things, but whenever i go to friends on the xbox dashboard, it says i need to join xboxlive :confused:

microsoft said on the xbox website in one of their articles that xbox live is free! well theyre big liars i tell ya:mad: . i was gonna buy it just cause of the free xbox live i thought it had... now theres nothing to buy!!! it just has a different skin and maybe connects wirelessly to ur PC but apart from that ur getting consoles to play games right?!:confused: u dont get one to listen to music or to watch DVDs even though i use my xbox for dvds 2:p but anyway thats a ripoff!!!in the country im in it costs like nearly twice as much is it would cost in USA... i nearly bought it. i was really close.., then some1 from another thread said that u only get silver... IM REALLY ANGRY RIGHT NOW :mad: ok im back..
so pretty much if i get it as a present from some1 i know i wont reject it (obviously LOL) i still think that microsoft have liad to us all... well maybe just to me.

lol, well microsoft hasnt lied completely. Silver is technically xboxlive, its jus the one that u cant really do anything with... but silver is free and u can talk to friends on it(i think). Like i said before, i thought microsoft said that silver already came with the x360, so where is it?!:confused:

i think you have to sign up with it...next time i come over i'll get it for you...i think you have to get your credit card number to get silver, but it won't charge the credit card...with gold it will charge it unless you buy a subscription at best buy or something...

MS did not lie...xbox live silver is free...basically you can do everything with silver that you can with gold EXCEPT play competitive games online...you can still play MMORPG's online with silver i believe...just not games like halo 2, pd0, cod2, etc...

o yea i got the xboxSilver up chris, but thanks for offering to help. Silver is pretty cool :cool: :). Though u cant actually play games online like wat u can do with the Goldmembership, on Silver, you'll always find something fun to do:D
