Hello Gamers, not very hopeful, but thought I would ask the question anyway.
Are there any PC RPG games 'out there' that do NOT have zombies, demons, ghouls, skeletons and the like wanting to do battle with you at every turn of the corner?
I just don't like having to creep down some dark and eerie tunnel waiting to see what ugly monster will jump out on me.
OK, I am a wimp. I am a ( ahem) mature lady as well, and have been playing computer games since the Speccie days - remember Boulderdash? I played Silent Service on the Amiga, and Elite, of course, but never really got into Questy type games because I don't like having to go around killing things every five minutes.
Well the years have gone by, and I have a fine if small, collection of games which I have enjoyed - Settlers, the Egosoft X-series of space sims, Silent Hunter3, which is an ace subsim, Sim City, etc etc, but no RPG's, so I thought I would give that genre a try.
I bought a copy of Morrowind from eBay, and that seemed ok, but I couldn't really 'get going' with it. Then someone suggested Oblivion, so I forked out for that - and wow, the graphics are awesome, and I would love to just stroll around this vast landscape doing little quests for folk, poking about in the ruins and caves, find goodies to sell, that sort of thing, and yes, ok, a little bit of killing here and there if I have to, just to give it a bit of edge, but it seems that I have to face up to unpleasant or creepy characters around almost every bend of the road, who seem bent on killing me for no good reason. It spoils the fun for me. Any suggestions for the less blood-thirsty or macho among us?
