Anyone play S.T.A.L.K.E.R?

Anyone play STALKER yet? I was looking for a good FPS to pick up, but the reviews looked so-so. I really liked FEAR (at least they had a demo I could try), so does it have comparible graphics and such?

I really wanna play this game too...yes the Graphics are highly comparible to F.E.A.R. I was just looking at the recommended system requirements, and for Video Cards they are either a GeForce 7900 or a Radeon x1950...luckily for me i have the equivelent of 2 of both of thoses :D

I've got STALKER, I've not got very far in it yet as I've been busy with work. It plays very differently than a normal FPS so far though. Its not a kill everything in site bunny-hop around kinda game. Its very atmospheric and tense and a fight to survive and find safe places in a hostile environment. The closest thing I've ever played to it is System Shock 2. If FEAR is what you want then you'll be disapointed but if your after a different game experience and something to make you feel geninly vulnerable then go for STALKER.

I picked it up today, everything Stalin said is right, its definetely not a run of the mill FPS, havent got very far, but it looks very strategic

Hi all,

I must be some sort of retard but I can seem to get out of the initial bunker at the beginning of the game.

I've tried all sorts of combinations of trades with Sid, but I can't seem to leave and start my next adventure.

Any ideas?

Ask him for mission and he will give you one to get a flash drive of a guy called nimble ( go to the door press F and exit) find wolf the guy next to the second building on the left and ask him questions then go to his mission and assault the bandits then get the flash drive of nible and return it to the trader
