Any 1 know how to get quake to run?????

Hey im just wondering ive got Quake 4 and i try to run it and it just will not run on my pc even on the lowest settings, well uit runs but is jerky and not smooth. I also own FEAR and that runs perfect on the medium settings, so is there anyway i can try to get Quake to run. Any suggestions????

What are the specs of your computer? And do they meet the minimum/recommended requirements listed on the Quake 4 box?

Sadly it most likely doesn't run Quake, my computer isn't fit to run it.

My pc is just above the minimum specs so technically it shud run but not amazing but smooth, i cant understand because FEAR requires more then Quake and FEAR runs perfect on the medium settings on my pc. Oh well il just hasve to play it jerky:S Thankas for the help
