I think that it is a great game, even though RS is better.

I dont mind the game, i just dont like Blizzard.

They practically force you to get the expansion since the best wepon is in it, and if you dont have it your toast.

I really liked WoW for a pretty long time. I got to the highest level and played dungeons after raids after dungeons. Then I got sick of playing for 6+ hours at night a couple of nights a week to punch up a few numbers on a screen, so I stopped. Then the expansion came out. Played that for a while to check out the new lands, quests, etc. Fun again, but at the same time, when I leveled up enough it got too tedius. The 15 dollars a month deal is cool and inviting, but the time consumption for a simple weapon or piece of armor is just too much in the endgame. My overall opinion: Really fun game for only 15 bucks a month, but there comes a point when you're just wasting your time on making your character(s) just a tiny bit more powerful, which is just not worth it; go play something more exhilarating if you've got the money.

Well, I had my fair share of playing WoW. I started about 4 or 5 months after it was initially released (I was at uni - couldn't play it while in halls!) and then played it for about a year and a half.

It's good initially, I liked levelling up characters, partying/raiding with people too (although with my first class, a warrior, I never raided PVE stuff with that guy when he was lvl 60 much at all), although I preferred to do PvP stuff at that level when I was a warrior. I remember getting my Arcanite Reaper - wasn't as good as the Epic The Unstoppable Force - but I thought the AR looked much better :) So I spent god knows how longer getting everything for that, and at this point it did feel like a chore, but it was well worth it when you finally get it crafted by someone :)

I started a horde character after that (First was a dwarf), although I had made a character for almost every class just to try them out, over the time I played WoW) which was an ork warlock. I enjoyed that too as it was quite different indeed from playing warrior, plus it meant getting to see all of the areas in the world, which was good fun. By the time I reached lvl 60, I started to play in raids to PVE things, and started to get some epics. But the time it takes for such a thing to happen was crazy - going to a raid with 40 people, if a boss is killed, 3 or 4 items drop, then probably only 1 item for your class, and then there's 6 of you of that class all there waiting for the item and so it goes to the person with the highest rating (can't remember what it was called) that is built up over raid experience and items 'bought' with it.

I eventually realised it was taking up too much of my life, for little actual reward (in terms of items gained and progression) as I also then switched to going for PVP items (this was way back when the highest PVP rank would take about 3 months, with solid non stop play for the last month or something) and so I decided to stop. I did enjoy the social side of it though, everyday something/someone would do something which would bring about a chuckle or whatever, and so I still like WoW for that aspect.

Overrall i'd recommend that you play the game, but only play it for a few weeks first, and see how you like the character levelling - I hear they are changing it so it is much faster to get to level 40 or something now? But just see how you like that, and the social side, then decide whether to keep playing or not. No harm in playing it for a month to see if it's your kinda thing!

I think, it is a good game.I must say a great game.I played it after a few days of its launch.Recommended for everyone. But you should try it first and then decide you like it or not, whether you want to play it or not.It depends on interest of the person. :)

I don't really like it. Expensive and you just go off it. I know a lot of people who just played it because they enjoyed it at first, and had bought a long subscription and grew bored of it and only played it because they'd payed for it.

True. My karate instuctors sidekick as you will does not come to karate class anymore because of that. He goes to work comes home and plays that, but I to play it and I have the will power to pull myself off of it and continue my education. It's only certain people that can be sucked into the vortex if you will. It's almost the opposite of the law of phisics. Fat people are more likely to get sucked into the vortex. lol. Yeah though seriously it is a life consuming thing to some of us. By the way hot_shot1 I doubt you're friend lost that kind of money to a game. Why is'nt he on the news then? He could sue them. I think basicaly you are lying, but hey thats just my opinion.
