Who by now owns an ps3?

Who's definetly going to preorder a Playstation 3?.

More importantly, who will be able to afford it? Remember the 360? Preorders were only in the form of overpriced un-interesting bundles. If the PS3 comes in that form, it could EASILY cost more than a grand to get one. Who want to shell that sort of cash out for a new system with a handful of games?.

If i was rich, of course i'd have a preorder on the ps3... probably even the Rev. The ps3 can easily cost about any price right now with all the equipment (some that are useless to the ordinary gamer). I WAS about to preorder the ps3, but then i got the xbox360 (I do not regret it :) :cool: ) Right now, the ps3 is useless to me, but ill probably get it eventually. Im thinking of looking to get the Rev next tho.

I think I'll get the Rev next then I might get the PS3 when it's down in price and better games are out.
The games that'll we know will be released on the Rev are:
Super smash bros - Super smash bros was one of the first games to come out onthe cube.
Animal crossing 2 - Yep Animal crossing 2 will come out on the Rev.
A Mario game - It's Nintendo so they'll obvioyusly bring a Mario out on the Rev.
Resident evil 5 - 4 Was awsome and it wasn't High definition this game will definetly rock.

Sorry I don't have a link but this is how I worked out how myuch it'll cost:
1. Blu - ray - Blu - ray'll certainly put the price of the PS3 up.

2. Extras - When the PS3 comes out you'll only be able to buy it in a " special " deal so instead of just getting the PS3 and the game(s) you want on it you'll end up buying:

DVD remote - The dvd's might not work without it,
extra controler(s) - When I got my 360 I wanted 1 contoler and the deal was that you needed to pay for another,
memory cards/hard drive - Look at the 360 you can get 2 packs 1 with a hard drive or without a hard drive,
games you don't want - When I got my 360 I " had " to get King kong and Ridge racer,

:eek: will the rev have such packages? In the past ive found Nintendo’s packages quite enjoyable. So I think ill wait for the PS3 price's to come down too. An am sorry to hear bout ur 360 trauma, i feel for you.

Yea I liked the Ds package - Mario kart, a ds and a travelling pack brilliant.
And I liked the gamecube package - Cube, 2 games, a travelling bag and a free nintendo timer.

When u say "package" do u mean the stuff it comes with? Well PS3 and Rev have not 100% confirmed all the stuff that comes with the bundle. They're probably gonna b a good deal tho, jus like the xbox360 :cool:

A while back there was a rumor that the ps3 could possibly cost up to $1000, then $900, then $800 etc.. now the rumor is the ps3 will cost between 499 euros and 599 euros, which is actually... comes up to about $800-$900 USD correct?? isnt 1 euro= to 1.8 USD or something :confused: wow... if this is right.. not many ppl are going to b buying a ps3 this holiday season, or the next, or the next..

Im not sure if anyone asked this, but the REV will most likely b about $250-$300

The PS3 could come down to $600. That's still a lot for most ppl. I've seen many surveys online saying that most ppl would pay no more than $500? Wat was Sony thinking with all these new advancements?

I think I know why you think this- there was an article, I think on gamespot, and it said the processor alone was worth $1000. They didn't actually say that it was going to cost that... everything that i have read says that Sony is trying to keep the price close to the launch price of the PS2. It looks like it will be around $500 though...

Yeah. It could be possible that all the accessories that u need + the console will cost about $1000, but the console itself, Sony would never do that, even tho it would be funny to see them do it:D Sony did say that u might have to make a little bit more money for the PS3, but it wouldnt cost that high. The latest rumor for the cost of the PS3, is from $500-$650 USD, roughly. That is a lot of money tho.

It IS a lot of money- If they are going to be charging that much, you'd think they'd preload a few games into the hard drive. THAT would be cool!

It will be released on November this year.

I think I'll just wait till sometime in 2007 to get it I'm not in a hurry to get it I'm happy with my 360 and my ds.

As stated in E3 the PS3 will be $600 retail price and there wont be any shortage as one of the reasons for the delayed launch is so that they can produce and have shipped to retail stores 1 million units and that is just for Europe and the U.S.
