Macs. Are they decent? Are they any good? Maybe. But certainly not for gaming! It is so hard to find games that are mac compatible. SO why would ANYONE bother buying a mac? Because they are good with photos and music? WHOA! Good way to spend 2 grand.

What do you think about the mac infestaion?

To answer your question about how they handle games, the truth is that the Macintosh is not good for games. I mean, if you are a game developer, would you rather make your game for an OS that 90% of the people have? Or the other 10%? The answer is clear, and for this reason, only a small amount of games get ported to the Mac.

However, to answer your question about why ANYONE would want to buy a Mac, well here it goes. For everyday computing activities, like surfing the net, typing papers, buying stuff, the Mac is superior to Windows in every way i can think of. For the fun things like pictures, videos, and music, the Mac is better. For security reasons, and cost of software, the Mac wins by a landslide. The Mac is just a computer that you can have fun with, that isnt hard to keep up (automatic updates to all programs, firmware, security, etc.), that is a creative catalyst, and that you dont have to worry about ever giving you trouble.

So back to the original topic, a Mac is a better computer, and a PC is a better gaming platform.

If Mac were to replace PC as the king of computer gaming, I would never ever use my PC again.

Well, I've never used a Mac, but I have friends that use Macs (internet friends) & they say they love them. The only game they play is WoW, but they love it. I hear that it is impossible to get a virus on Mac. So...they just sound great. Unfortunately, I like to game & PC is where it's at.

Macs aren't good for games.They are mostly made for jobs and some other things,but games no.

Its just that I think if you had ever used one for an extended amount of time, you would know that they arent made for gaming, or jobs, they are just made for people who want a perfect computer to average everyday things with no problems.

Well,that's what I meant.I just didn't know how to say it.I only said that because my dad has a Mac at work.

Ok. here's what I think. (As if anyone actually cared :))
I feel that Macs are really good computers, I love how they don't get viruses. :D
However, I personally like PC's more. Both for gaming, and for everyday (except surfing the web). Now don't get me wrong, Macs are by far a superior machine, OS whatever, But I feel that PC's inner workings are more customizable, Windows can be tweaked more than OS X. I also like that many good, freeware programs are available for the PC that can't be downloaded for the Mac. So I like PC's more. And they are weak for gaming. Yes. . .

Pc's are much harder to use than macs. End of story. Thats just how it is. Mac's are just so esy to use and yes, they are basicly immune to any virus.
