Pyramid Head from Silent Hill 2 hands down the scariest for me, I had sleepless nights after playing this game all because of that freaky mother fudger!

For me, it has to be Soveriegn from Mass Effect. The exchange between him/it/they and Shepard on Virmire was chilling. Soveriegn's absolute belief in his own superiority is great. A genicidal, millenia-old flying robot after my own heart.

"Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither and die. We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything"

"Your civilization is based on the technology of the mass relays. Our technology. By using it, your civilization develops along the paths we desire. We impose order on the chaos of organic life. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it."

"Your words are as empty as your future. I am the Vanguard of your destruction. This exchange is over..."

That was a great scene in Mass Effect, similarly not so much a villain but the bit in gears of war 2 *spoiler alert* when you find out the Locust are processing humans is creepy. Especially when this huge COG soldier Tai who is badass is released all tortured to hell and he kills himself rather than going on. Great scene for building up tension I thought just like in mass effect, it's the hopelessness of the situation.

I think that Gears of War did a really good job in making the player geniunely hate the Locust. The scene with Dom and his wife in GoW2, along with the scene you mentioned involving Tai, gave real insight into just how despicable the Locust are, while making things personal.

Debilitas & Daniella of Haunting Ground gave me a few good scares. It was just creepy how when Daniella followed you, she never ran...just walked. >.<
    And Piggsy from Manhunt. +Shivers+

Pigsy oh yeh that whole game was creepy! when ur in the elevator and he goes for you, freaky! Oh just thought of another one, that creepy clown in Dead Rising as well. Especially when he dies and giggles laying on a chainsaw. Most of the bosses were horrific in that game, the guy in the hardware shop and the crazy supermarket trolley guy were just as bad!

i forgot how much I loved dead rising, despite being a bit lame not being able to move and throw/shoot at the same time it was really fun and the 'psychopaths' really were proper crazies!
