the best gaming for me was the amiga but its not limited to only a gaming console. I also loved the N64 and was amazed at getting it as my first console love was spawned from friends who had sega megadrive types.

I'm with retrolover, the amiga was a fantastic piece of machinery for an age when we were all dumb on the console and technology front. No amiga in the poll.

    For shame!

The N64 was a great console, but it really lacked the quantity of great titles. It essentially had Mario 64, Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, and Perfect Dark and perhaps a handful of others like 1080 Snowboarding, Starfox 64 and Banjo Kazooie. It relied too much on Nintendo games.....nobody else, other than Rare, bothered.
ooh I can't let that stand! The Neo Geo AES was by far the greatest 2d console in every aspect... except price! I still class my Neo Geo as better than any other console for gameplay

Definitely got to be the N64 or maybe even the original Gameboy for me!
Watch out for bridges and hop-ons; you're gonna get some hop-ons.
