    An unfortunate turn of events...

Well, 2 nights ago i came home from work to find my apartment door kicked in..what was missing? My new PS3, my Wii, around 50 games, my laptop, my new iomega 1TB external hard drive and my camera around $300...so in all i lost like $2000 worth of electronics...great...now what do i do...

No renters insurance like a dunb***but my lease is up the second week of July so i figured why do i need it?...THAT bit me in the ass..

So my question to you all...i'm only gonna buy one system this time...i loved my Wii and my PS3..but im not going to buy both again...so should i get another slim? or buy a wii? or even an xbox? Of course i'm leaning towards a PS3 again just because i believe its the best out of the three, but i'd like to hear your comments and suggestions...which is the better value, price wise, game (both present and future) wise, feature wise, fun wise, etc...

I'm asking because thinking about a PS3 puts a sour taste in my mouth, so I'm open to Xbox suggestions..as well as Wii...Let's hear'em..Thanks!

Wii is fun, but it really can't be compared to the other systems when it comes to deciding what you like. You will generally (before Nin decides to ride my ass) like either the Wii or the PS3/Xbox360. You have to decide that yourself. If you choose the second 'group' of 2, then my personal opinion would be the PS3, but the Xbox 360 does have a better online community because you have to pay for it so there isn't all the 10 year-old's who think they're the sht.

    Questions? lol

Had a mate who lost everything 2 weeks into a lease cause he didn't have house insurance so feel for ya,

If your starting again the new xbox 250gb slim console would be good. Around £200 although I'm sure I've seen deals with games for the same price around so might be an option. It's finally got fast wireless built in and a lot of memory so would be good value for money.

Then again seeing as your light on the whole technology front now a PS3 does have blu-ray as well so it might be worth it to go back, still a bit more pricey but graphics are good.

I have both systems and I love the PS3 as it's a great piece of equipment but I mainly use Xbox because I find the online gaming / content is better and the exclusives are great like Gears of War, Left 4 dead, Halo, Half-Life and Dead Rising to name but a few.

    Anyway hope that helps

Play MW2 or Halo and then tell me that.

Those 2 games don't count , but it is still better than the PS3 community, even on those ones.

You clearly don't spend much time on Xbox Live.

I'd say Xbox, as I prefer it.

The PS3 community is better in that respect as hardly anyone uses mics, which means there are very few screaming ****s.

Mics are important in online shooters, we just mute the pikeys and children and chat to each other. Good communication wins more games than silence I find. I'm surprised about the lack of communication on PS3 as you can use bluetooth headsets which are much cooler and less intrusive than the rubbish Xbox over the head ones. Guess you get one free in the box though so that's probably why ....

I've found Bluetooth to be reasonably weak, personally. I much prefer a physical connection. The only FPS game modes I've found that should really need communication are capture the flag/domination modes. For free-for-all and TDM, it's only really useful to chatter.

Ide disagre. If you are playing as a real team (i.e a clan) you need to know where each other are and where the enemy. Best way to do this is tell each other.

I agree about bluetooth though, it is ****.
